David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
