Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed following standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence is not the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
