The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
The rising star maintains impressive social media presence
Kai Trump can count on multiple high-profile supporters when she begins her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple international courses and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically told me to go out there and enjoy myself," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions recently and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she can get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete globally," Kai stated.
"And he's an even better person. He suggested me to play, have fun, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face some of top competitors in women's golf at the competition, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce golf to wider groups, especially among youth audiences.
Kai has substantial online presence and has started her own fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
