The loved ones of teenagers missing after a tragic fire at a establishment in a Swiss alpine town are confronting an agonising wait for answers and pleading for information about their family members via social media.

The inferno ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of January 1st. Verified images show the roof structure igniting as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.

Authorities have warned that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and injured another scores more.
